Today, our leaders are meeting to negotiate the EU budget, and a key part of their discussions will be how to finance climate action. We need Charles Michel, President of the European Council, to use his power to ensure that our demands are met for more funding to be committed to real climate action. Please, take a second to send him an email!

Don't forget to modify the subject line at the top of the email and to add a short sentence to go with your postcard right after the code. These are some ideas for the sentence:

  • We need an EU budget that reflects the twin crises of climate change and biodiversity
  • How will measures addressing climate change and biodiversity be financed?
  • We need an EU budget that dedicates at least 40% to climate action and 10% to biodiversity protection
  • We need money backing up promises for the European Green Deal to work
  • The EU budget must end subsidies for fossil fuels and all other environmentally harmful subsidies
