Fuel-guzzling private jets are a catastrophe for the climate – it’s high time they’re banned.

Why is this important?

Footballers, politicians and the super-rich are jetting around the world on private planes. All while we face record breaking heat, out-of-control forest fires and our worst drought in 500 years! [1]

We believe we all need to pitch in to protect our planet from climate catastrophe. But the super-rich are taking more flights on private jets than ever. [2] And these jets fly empty nearly half the time and emit more greenhouse gases than the entire country of Denmark. [3]

Enough is enough.

The good news is: France is proposing new rules that could set things right. But, to rid Europe of private jets we need to get all EU transport ministers on side. They’re meeting in just a few weeks. [4] We know from experience that our voices matter when we band together.
