WeMove Europe is an independent and values-based organisation that seeks to build people power to transform Europe in the name of our community, future generations and the planet.
Thank you for your interest in this petition to ensure that the European Commissioners respect their legal obligation to publish their financial interests.
Thanks to the mobilisation of our community, we sent over 50,000 messages to the President of the Commission Ursula Von der Leyen and, in response, all the Commissioners have finally obeyed the law and released their declaration of financial interests on Friday 28 February 2020. It's clear she and her team have been listening our voices.
While this petition has been closed, WeMove Europe will continue to campaign to ensure that the European decision makers are totally transparent and accountable. Stay tuned!

Petition
Ensure that the Commission respects their legal obligation to publish their financial interests.
Why is this important?
EU boss Paolo Gentiloni’s job is to make fair rules about tax. So why might he still own shares/invest worth €100,000 in tax-dodging corporation Amazon?
He FAILED to publish his financial interests - and so has every other EU boss, or Commissioner as they’re officially called.
That’s against the law. They should have done it on 1 January. [2] It means we don’t know how they might be influenced.
Only one person can make sure the Commissioners obey the law: the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. But so far no one is talking about this scandal - so it’s easy for her to ignore.
If we sign this petition and send thousands of tweets to von der Leyen now, we can show her this scandal is about to break, and she needs to demand that her Commissioners obey the law.
If we win, this is just our foot in the door. If EU bosses publish their financial interests, we will be able to expose their links to corporations and demand they work for people, not private profit.
